Daily delight: nature at work
One of the originators in the natural beauty industry, New Zealand’s Living Nature have just taken out a double header at the prestigious Green Beauty Bible Awards 2010, named after the must-have-don’t-shop-without-it book of the same name. The Keri Keri-based, boutique beauty pioneers’ Conditioning Mascara – created using Manuka Honey and Halloysite Clay - has been named Best Mascara, whilst their Eye Make-Up Remover – featuring Calendula, Manuka Honey and Kumerahou (a natural foaming flower) – took out the category Best Eye Make-Up Remover for the second year in a row.
I’ve been lucky enough to visit the Living Nature plant in New Zealand’s Far North and was amazed by how incredibly “hands on” and real this globally recognised company is, still picking many of their ingredients - quite literally when it comes to Kumerahou – by the side of the road. Their journey has been a long and amazing one, and their accolades all the more deserved for it.
