Judith White and a heavenly brush with JW Organics
Many years ago – back when it was still filed next to seaweed sandals and wheatgrass juice – I first became a fan of aromatherapy, a natural science that has grown rapidly over the past few years in both method and respect in equal measure. These days it’s de rigeur to include essential oils in all number of beauty products, from moisturisers to mascara and almost everything in between. One of the first aromatherapy names that I followed was that of Judith White, an Australian born, internationally acclaimed Holistic Aromatherapist who has devoted a large part of her life to the study of natural plant extracts.
As a teacher, lecturer, columnist, author and regular radio and television personality, she continues to contribute to the global aromatherapy industry, and is a generally inspirational woman all round. A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to be part of an intimate audience with Judith at the True Solutions office in Auckland, where she passionately spoke of developments in the natural and organic beauty industry and in particular about her newest venture, a skincare range known as JW Organics. We only got our hands on a rose-scented hand crème to play with as the range isn’t due in New Zealand until October, but it has become my closest companion ever since! It's heavenly stuff, and I can’t wait for the rest.
