Bumble and bumble – doing big the best?

As many designers trended toward the traditional this year when it came to what they put on the catwalks, Bumble and bumble’s team of stylists took a few risks; taking some all-too-familiar looks and give them that extra push. From ponies to pompadours, braids to buns – no hairstyle was spared an overhaul for the Fall collections. Remember the New Pony, Modern Big Hair, The Updated Updo, and the Power Pompadour as trends that are not only worth noting, but also worth wearing. I’m a big fan of big hair, and Bumble and bumble do it best in my opinion. Their Modern Big Hair look stole the show at Erin Fetherston, Ohne Titel, Lacoste, VPL and Vivienne Westwood (see Pam Anderson strutting her stuff for the punk doyenne, right), with some interpretations textured and teased, others soft and flowing. Some even had the dual-effect that is emerging as a trend that is super hot right now, slicked in front and mane-inspired in the back. The products used by the team of course included their Thickening Hairspray (by the case), as well as Bb.Gel, Thickening Serum, Bb.Shine and Surf Spray.
