My new Cire Trudon... a scent to die for!

Anyone who knows me well will tell you that I have a veritable fetish for scented candles, and my absolute favourites of late have all been of the Cire Trudon variety. France’s oldest manufacturer of candles – they were burned by the likes of Napoleon and Marie Antoinette – Cire Trudon candles are all crafted using the highest quality vegetable wax poured into beautiful handmade glass, making them biodegradable, allergen free and free of pesticides as far back as 1643! They also have an incredible 80 hour burn time, and come in a variety of delicious and alluring scents. I’ve been a raving fan of their gorgeously masculine “Ernesto” candle for a long while now, but for my birthday was gifted the truly addictive “Manon”. Crafted to smell like fresh laundry – and who doesn’t love that! – Manon is described by her creators as like peeking “between stacks of embroidered linen sheets on a lady's festooned bed… where lavender and orange spread a smell of lightness and neatness”. Saucy but sweet, I love it!
