Daily delight: Elixxir’s Resurface mask to the rescue
It’s that time of the year when most people’s skins are freaking out a little due to seasonal changes, with congestion often rearing its ugly head. I’m not a fan of the likes of scrubs on my skin, but a regular gentle exfoliation is often just what the doctor ordered. In my case, the doctor I’ve been listening to lately is Michael Miroshnik, the Sydney-based plastic and cosmetic surgeon who is also the brains behind Elixxir. I’ve just begun a twice-weekly application of the brand’s Resurface mask, which lightly exfoliates while smoothing and firming tired skin. It has in its ingredient list the likes of L-Lactic acid, Niacinamide, Silk Protein and Cranberry extract, which work together to give your skin a gentle wake up call. It’s incredibly easy to use too, just a couple of pumps applied to the skin once or twice a week seems to work for me, for around 5-10 minutes. You can gradually build up the wear time to overnight as well, depending on your skin’s ability to tolerate some of its more active ingredients. Rinse it off with warm water and then add your favourite vitamin formula or hydrator and voila! Super duper gorgeous skin. Love it.
