Jo Malone Lotus Blossom & Water Lily, did I tell you lately thatI love you?

One of my favourite fragrances by Jo Malone is Dark Amber & Ginger Lily, which is one half of their Kohdo Wood collection. Heady, warm and reminiscent of the best incense one can imagine, it’s a great fragrance option when the weather is at its coolest, deliciously smoky and a bit sexy, really. Recently however, I’ve been filling my nostrils with the lighter half of the Kohdo collection as a candle, the vibrant and fresh Lotus Blossom & Water Lily. Apparently designed to “awaken the senses and energise the soul”, it’s a yummy blend of mandarin, sacred lotus blossom, bamboo and aloeswood, which in the East is thought to balance the mind and body. It also has Temple incense as a base note, meaning that headiness that I love is still there under the lighter, citrusy top notes. Apparently the cologne in this half of the collection works brilliantly when combined with Dark Amber & Ginger Lily in true Jo Malone fashion, so that could be my next stop on the journey to finding my favourite fragrance this Winter. Highly recommended.
