Love: Ecoya’s beautiful Body Nourisher
I’m a huge fan of the Ecoya brand, and was super excited when I heard they had branched into the realm of bodycare. I’ve tried a few of the products over the past month or so, and have to admit that they are all so good that it’s hard to pick a favourite!
I recently cracked into a jar of their Lemongrass & Ginger Body Nourisher however, and fell immediately under its spell. The best body butter-style, thick cream I’ve tried in a damn good while, it really is the perfect consistency with the most delicate of fragrances. Suitable for all skin types, it is highly nourishing and healing, and the rich yet super fast absorbing formula includes Sweet Almond oil - which absorbs easily - and serves as a great emollient for the skin. Unlike water-based moisturisers it also includes Jojoba Seed oil, which reduces evaporation and due to its similarity to skin’s own natural oil, helps balance oil production. The addition of Macadamia Nut Oil and Manuka honey – two proven ingredients for the skin – make this an absolute godsend for parched winter skin, and despite being incredibly luxurious, the cream leaves no greasy after feel.
On the green tip, it is free from unwanted ingredients like Parabens, Sulfates, Propylene Glycol, Silicone and Artificial colour, making it as eco-luxe as it gets. It’s the perfect complement to their exfoliating cream, and a new must-have in my bathroom cabinet. I’ve heard that Ecoya’s Vanilla Bean Body Nourisher recently won “Best New Product” at the 2011 New York Gift Fair, and as a huge fan of the scent I am now desperate to get my hands on one so I can get a whiff of my favourite candle all day long!
