C’est chic! Essie’s French Affair collection

The minute Essie’s French Affair collection hit my desk; my office began to feel a little more summery, in spite of the promise of a cold snap and the grey clouds still ominously lurking outside.
Inspired by 1960s glamourpusses, the nail polish shades are as flirtatiously coquettish as the names. However, all of the ultra feminine tones offer opaque coverage - unlike most of the sheers we see come the warmer months – giving them a thoroughly modern edge. "I think every woman has a little Brigitte Bardot in her, and this palette coaxes her out," says Essie Weingarten, founder of the eponymously named brand, and it’s up to you exactly how much of a minx you choose to be.
The shades that make up the collection are:
The shades from the collection are:
French Affair – a deliciously soft pink
Nice is Nice - a wearable, cool lavender
Coat Azure - blue with a touch of shimmer
Kisses & Bisses – a softly pearled ivory
Topless & Barefoot – an ultra pretty, pinky nude
Sand Tropez – a must have pale, sandy grey taupe

Although this collection has a retro pastel feel it is still totally modern in its approach, and the opacity of each shade is absolutely killer. Definitely something for everyone in there too!
