Want: Estée Lauder’s Modern Mercury
This collection is utterly gorgeous, as well as ridiculously wearable. Tom Pecheux, Estée‘s ultra creative, creative director, was inspired by modern avant-garde architecture when he created this beauty, and it has a beautifully industrial feel. For eyes you’ll find metallic grey and soft dove grey eye shadows, and a sponge-brush applied metallic eyeliner that I reckon will be perfect for a little more drama before a big night out. For face, there’s a new hybrid product called Powder Gelée. You can apply it wet or dry for either a soft or deep wash of colour. Lip options are red or fuchsia - with a neutral helpfully thrown in - and if you can’t get your hands on Chanel’s in-demand “Peridot” nail polish, this collection’s “Metallic Sage” is a more than capable replacement.
