I try: Dr. LeWinn’s Moisturising Tan Extender
In the lead up to summer and the season of Less is Best (Exhibit A. Miss Rosie, above), I like to have a bit of a glow on and have become quite the fake bake connoisseur. If you’re a novice however – or like a lighter touch – a great option is using a gradual tanning product, and there are some stellar examples out there on the market.
A gradual tanning product is a great way to extend the life of your spray tan and because you get a built in moisturiser you just pop it on after your shower and you are done. It’s incredibly easy to add to your daily routine, and once you get into the habit, you’ll be seriously hooked.
In the past I’ve raved about the versions by Dove (save) and St. Tropez (splurge), but lately I’ve been falling in love with the all-new formula from Dr. LeWinn’s.
A little lighter than several other versions that I’ve tried, this little pearler is designed for post-sun exposure and also works really well with pre-applied fake tan. It is formulated to soothe skin after being in the sun and has a silky smooth consistency as well as giving subtle colour and a lovely glow. Aloe Vera, Vitamin E and Shea butter are in there to rehydrate and cool dry skin, so it’s perfect after a day at the beach when your skin really feels like a night cool drink of water.
Oh and last but not least – when using a gradual tanner always remember to wash your hands after application - just because you can’t see the colour just yet doesn’t mean it isn’t in there!
