Want: the all new Comme des Garçons fragrance

Comme des Garçons fragrances - which are unisex (I wear them) – really are totally unforgettable. I defy you not to find one and make it your own – or even a couple! I was back in London for a whirlwind trip last year and remembered to pop into the Liberty fragrance hall and grab me a bottle of my favourite scent by Comme des Garçons, Incense Avignon (a very favourable exchange rate helped, too!). A fragrance that definitely pulls no punches, Incense Avignon is powerful and intense, to say the least. The recognizable smells of frankincense and myrrh open the high mass of Avignon, giving way to the almost eye-smarting, gloriously smoky and resinous heart. Other notes include Roman Camomile, Citsus Oil, Elemi, Incense, Vanilla, Patchouli and Palisander, making for one heady, sexy beast.
But enough about the old – what I want is the new, namely CdG’s newest fragrance, the details of which are beginning to emerge now. The box is made of one piece of carton paper, folded in origami style into a beautiful, yet simple, white box. The highly creative design house then takes it even further and presents an entirely new bottle design as well for this new perfume, produced of old glass and really rather organic looking (above). All in all a new fragrance product from the Japanese brand and one I cannot wait to find out more about!
