Christmas countdown: rather spiffing Hendrick’s Gin

I was one of the lucky ones to attend the Lily & Louis PR showroom’s Summer open day last week, which was a fabulous event by anyone’s standards. Along with their client’s wonderful wares I was treated to some truly delicious canapés and a top class tipple in the form of a gin and tonic (or two) made with Hendrick’s Gin.
As well as having absolutely beautiful packaging in the form of a dark brown, apothecary-style bottle, this gin is really rather unique in many other ways. In addition to the traditional juniper infusion, Hendrick's uses Bulgarian rose and cucumber to add flavour, two of my favourite ingredients in beauty products and now also gin! It’s naturally then garnished with a slice of cucumber as opposed to the usual twist of lemon or lime, and is all the more summery for it. Beautifu!
The Wall Street Journal have called it the “Best Gin in the World” for a reason, and it really will be making regular appearances on my back deck over the summer months.
