I try: Davines’ new OI/OIL

I’ve known about Italian sustainable beauty company Davines for a few years now and have always admired both their modus operandi and their careful edit of products. The latest to arrive in their impressive arsenal is known as OI/OIL, and is a killer multitasker after my own heart.
The company calls OI/OIL “a refined, multi-functional product that offers the perfect combination of treatment and styling for all hair types”, and they aren’t kidding. A true beauty potion, it’s designed for immediate results via some high performance ingredients, speeding up drying times without weighing down hair, and adding shine and softness. It detangles and fights the frizz while providing a restructuring, anti-radical and anti-oxidant treatment.
Key ingredients include fair trade Roucou oil from the Amazon - rich in beta-carotene, which reduces cell damage from UV radiation - and Ellagic acid, known for its neutralising power against free radicals. And it’s ridiculously easy to use, just apply a couple of pumps onto your mid-lengths and ends and comb through if you’re using on wet hair, or slightly less if you’re using it as a finishing product.
Last but by no means least, Davines has always had a strong focus on sustainability and environmental protection, and in the case of this product participates in the LifeGate Zero Impact project to reduce and offset the carbon dioxide emissions from its manufacture, creating and protecting new forests in Puerto Rico and Madagascar. Love that.
So as a recap – a high performance formula, sleek packaging (as per above) and low environmental impact…. What are you waiting for? Grab some OI/OIL now!
