I try: Inika Certified Organic Liquid Foundation

I’m an avid fan – bordering on obsessive – of skincare with a strong organic bent, but struggle to find foundation that follows that same modus operandi but also seriously performs. And I’ve tried a lot of them – believe me!
So I was very pleasantly surprised by what I saw when I slapped on Inika’s Certified Organic Liquid Foundation, which the fantastic Aussie company says is “guaranteed to feed your skin with a balanced and healthy diet while providing your complexion with flawless coverage.”
The ingredients included in the beauty award winning liquid foundation are like a roll call of feelgood ingredients with punch – and its great end result is testament to how well they work together. The foundation is built on a base of certified organic Aloe Vera - well known to be rich in vitamin C, E and even contains traces of Vitamin B12. Aloe Vera is a source of essential minerals such as calcium, magnesium, chromium and the antioxidant selenium, and contains fatty acids and 20 of the 22 amino acids needed by the body. You’ll also find Tamanu Oil in there – often called the secret to rejuvenated skin. Derived from the Tamanu Tree, the greeny gold oil is considered sacred in the Polynesian islands, and has been used on the skin for centuries because of its incredible rejuvenating capabilities.
The end result for me was a foundation that evened out and primed my skin for whatever the day would throw at it, with a natural luminosity that hung around all day long. And when it was time to take it off? My skin felt like it had been treated to a nice drink of water, as opposed to feeling stifled by a heavy base. This is a great choice if you like a more natural look, kind of like you – but better!
