Beauty news: big congratulations to award winners Sodashi

Already award winners in the media and in my beauty books, absolutely flawless Australian based skincare company Sodashi has just been recognised as the ‘Most Effective Anti-Ageing Spa Range’ in The SPA Traveller 2012 Awards too.

Considered by many to be “the purest skincare brand in the world”, Sodashi have been harnessing the benefits of natural ingredients to produce effective, chemical-free skin care products and spa therapies since 1999. As a lover of those rare moments when all natural-meets-high performance in the world of beauty, I for one am a huge fan of the brand and its inspirational founder, Kiwi Megan Larsen. To say that Sodashi products - formulated using a unique combination of biochemistry, aromatherapy and Ayurvedic principles – are amongst the best out there would be an understatement, and this latest award shows that many others agree!

A Sanskrit word, Sodashi translates to ‘wholeness, purity and radiance’ – the values on which the company and its products are based. As well as producing beautiful, desirable products, their absolute commitment to working in harmony with nature is reflected across all areas of the business, a factor you can’t help but admire. Not a single synthetic chemical, preservative or fragrance is used in the Sodashi manufacturing process. Products are never tested on animals and Sodashi packaging is recyclable and printed with natural vegetable dyes, and they must be doing something right as the range is available at many of most exclusive resorts and spas worldwide.

The SPA Traveller Awards reveal the ultimate global spa destinations and products as voted for by its international readers, and winners include some of the world’s hidden gems along with the best romantic getaways, family-friendly destinations, urban spas and well-being retreats. Awards also went to Gaia Retreat & Spa (one of my favourite destinations) as ‘Reader’s Choice Ultimate Wellness Spa’ and Four Seasons George V Paris as ‘Best Hotel/Resort: France’. Naturally, both are proud Sodashi stockists!

Other brand new Sodashi exclusive spas are ‘Opium Spa’ at The Siam Hotel, Bangkok; The Spa at Four Seasons Milan; The Spa at Four Seasons New York and the spa at Villa Dubrovnik.
