Beauty news: new prices - and wants! - from St. Tropez
In the lead up to Christmas I was lucky enough to be paid a
visit at home by tanning maven Abbi Hollins, one of St. Tropez’s most
experienced team members. She has been working with the brand since 2006 when
she was first trained in its wonders in the UK, and is now based in Australia
leading the team over there.
The occasion was a celebration of the brand’s amazing new
pricing structure, which sees St. Tropez’s stellar tanning products available
at some seriously attractive new prices. My personal favourite, the Every Day
Gradual Tan, has dropped from $59.00 to an amazing $39.95 just for starters!
Abbi gave me a beautiful, golden, natural tan that lasted well over seven days,
and I just wish she could come around once every couple of weeks for a repeat
performance!
A great example of how their products can work for every
skin tone was in evidence at the recent Golden Globes, where St.Tropez Skin
Finishing Expert Fiona Locke went to work bronzing usually pale names like
Kelly Osbourne and Sienne Miller. The latter – wearing Erdem – is a classic
English Rose, and Locke said “she has a very beautiful English skin tone so I
wanted to keep her colour very light and dewy. My goal was to give a gentle
hint of colour that would enhance her natural beauty and complement her gown.”
Key to her look was the St. Tropez Rose Skin Illuminator, which was used to
highlight her arms, shoulders, shins and décolletage. She also used the St.Tropez
Perfect Legs Spray, “which is not only for the legs but can be used as a travel
size version of the original formula, perfect for touch ups on the go.”
I haven’t tried any of goodies the St. Tropez Skin
Illuminator collection but am gagging to now. The original Violet Illuminator
was used backstage at Marios Schwab S/S 10 at London Fashion Week and has
reportedly since proved to be an essential beauty must-have for its unique
violet tone and luminous results.
Violet is perfect for all skintones, whilst the Gold
Illuminator is great for skin with yellow or gold undertones. The
aforementioned Rose Illuminator is ideal for skin with blue, pink and violet undertones.
You can even blend them with St Tropez Body Moisturiser for
a more subtle effect for daytime but I’m dying to try Gold to take my natural
tan a little deeper and give it some shimmer. Beautiful stuff!
