All about: Bestow's brand new Be Cleansed powder

I’m a major fan of the Bestow brand of beauty ‘supplements’ – for want of a better word! – and my skin goes into crisis mode when it doesn’t get its daily fix of Bestow Beauty Oil (the stuff is magical). Needless to say I was very excited to hear that creator Janine Tait and her team have just unleashed another fabulous new product, Bestow Be Cleansed detox powder.

A gentle blend of nature’s super foods and herbs, it is designed to “naturally detoxify, purify and beautify your skin from the inside out” and takes the form of a pleasant-tasting powder that includes organic flax fibre, sunflower seeds, slippery elm, almonds, citrus pectin, ginger and liquorice. It naturally detoxifies the bowel and liver, gently eliminates toxins, soothes the intestinal tract and promotes healing of the gut lining. The end result: clearer, more radiant skin.

I’ve been using it for about a week now and it’s insanely easy to include into your daily routine. Simply add it to filtered water, fruit juice, or blend into yoghurt, smoothies (my choice) or shakes, and come winter I’ll be cooking it into my porridge – apparently this works really well as it’s virtually undetectable for those with delicate palates. 

The team at Bestow has also developed three great detox programmes to choose from depending on how much time and energy you can dedicate to your detox using their powder, which are thus:

Be lightly cleansed - add a tablespoon of Be Cleansed into your diet for 2-3 weeks


Be moderately cleansed - add a tablespoon of Be Cleansed and Beauty Oil into your diet and remove the 'liver loaders' (alcohol, caffeine, sugar, dairy, wheat, artificial sweeteners, trans fats, and processed food) for 2-3 weeks.



Be fully cleansed - as above with a full detox diet (fully explained in the brochure that comes with your Be Cleansed).

For anyone experiencing ongoing bowel problems such as constipation, Bestow Be Cleansed can be taken on a regular basis, but as it is high in both soluble and insoluble fibre it’s really important to keep your water intake up over the day to keep everything ‘flowing’. 

And if that’s not enough to get you thinking, for a limited time every container of Bestow Be Cleansed will include a natural bristle, dry body brush for you to brush those toxins away!
