In love with: Bobbi Brown Retouching Powder

That thoroughly modern makeup master Ms. Bobbi Brown has gone and done it again – as in, creating something that I am blown away by and will undoubtedly be buying again and again! She time around she and her team have reinvented the corrective powders of makeup’s past, giving them an updated look and feel for the future.

Called simply Retouching Powder, it is a collection of six shades that instantly make your skin look better – and is completely undetectable. Depending on the shade you choose, you can correct colour, add warmth, hide redness, or brighten dullness. It’s like having your very own art director following you around, making sure your skin looks flawless. Magic!

Developed with a sheer, light-transmitting base, it also reduces excess oil and is formulated to soothe skin, and thus far on my skin never looks cakey or powdery. For light coverage, apply it using Bobbi’s Sheer Powder Brush, and for a more polished look, use the Full Coverage Face Brush.

The shade line up and their associated magical effect is:

Pink - Counteracts sallow undertones in alabaster in medium skin tones

Brown - Warms up medium to rich skin tones

Peach - Warms up light skin tones and evens out tanned and medium to dark skin tones.

White - Brightens and illuminates alabaster to light skin tones.

Rose - Gives light to deep skin tones a healthy flush of colour.

Yellow (which I’m using) - Tones down redness in light to medium skin tones.
