Beauty News: Dream Week officially starts tomorrow
Dream Week is Look Good Feel Better’s annual flagship campaign,
and for the third year in a row it is back and bigger and better than ever -
starting tomorrow.
Dream Week - running from Tuesday 2 July to Saturday 6 July -
is a major funding source for the self-funded charity, as well as key to
raising awareness of their amazing work restoring confidence for the thousands
of New Zealand women who are diagnosed with cancer each year. Every year LGFB
supports over 3,000 New Zealand women undergoing cancer treatment, by providing
free workshops where they receive a ‘pick me up’ makeover from fully trained
volunteers.
This year there will be some key opportunities for the public
to learn about and support the charity during the campaign week and throughout
the whole month of July. First up, Westfield Shopping Centres and Farmers
stores across the country will have ‘Feel Good’ hubs set up in selected
Westfield Shopping Centres in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington and Christchurch.
The ‘Feel Good’ hubs will enable the public to learn more about the Look Good
Feel Better programme and make donations.
During the month of July, all Farmers customers will be invited
to add a gold coin donation to any purchase from the cosmetic department, with
100 per cent of the donations going to Look Good Feel Better. Farmers are also
supporting the cause through the sale of Look Good Feel Better merchandise
(pictured above), the ever popular and iconic lipstick pens and by donating $1
from the sale of selected lipstick brands.
This year Look Good Feel Better will be launching a new
online donation mechanism through their Facebook app that will enable the
public to easily support Look Good Feel Better throughout Dream Week and beyond.
