Love it: Bobbi Brown Limited Edition Navy & Nude Eye Palette

Summer makeup often veers toward fruity and colourful, which is not always my style but gorgeous and fresh nonetheless. However, for those of us that like to keep things chic and head down a more alternative beauty route for the warmer months, this year sees the arrival of Bobbi Brown’s Navy & Nude collection - keeping things, clean, natural and very chic.

Inspired by the beach and sea, it offers a mostly natural, clean and beautiful look accented by navy blue, a colour that is not only a trend this season, but remains a classic choice any time of year thanks to its close proximity to everyone’s favourite, black.

A nude eye with a shot of navy liner is the epitome of cool for summer and beyond in my humble opinion, and this collection is full of that and more. The sleek and very wearable limited edition palette (above) is packed with eight skin tone-inspired shadows, including sparkle, shimmer and metallic shades - plus the perfect hue of inky blue (that doubles as an eyeliner, which is super handy for travel). Featuring a double-decker compact with an incredible marbleized look in bright cobalt and black it is small but powerful, and set to be a firm favourite with many.

The other product I’m saving my pennies for from this gorgeous collection is the Long-Wear Cream Shadow pot in Suede, a velvety smooth tan shadow that will be perfect layered under any of the shades from the palette or on its own for a cashmere-like, rich matte lid. Want!

Could this collection be the makeup equivalent of a crisp, fresh, nautical-striped tee? Methinks so!
