Love it: L’Oréal Professionnel’s new Ombre Nature collection

It’s had its naysayers over the past year, but in my opinion, the Ombre hair trend is here to stay. There has been a definite shift away from the dip-dyed look however, and into something a little less harsh - including on the condition of the hair - and L’Oréal Professionnel’s new Ombre Nature service has pretty much nailed it.
Reportedly inspired by runway looks from around the globe, the global beauty giant’s newest colour collection is made up of three delicious new mocha shades in the INOA range. It sees L’Oréal Professionnel transforming the balayage trend somewhat and making it still fresh, and is the perfect pick for clients who need to restore lift to their brunette look. INOA also has 100 per cent grey coverage, which is a major bonus for a lot of dark-haired gals I know.
Three collection looks were created under the Ombre Nature moniker by UK hairstylist James Pecis and renowned colour specialist Nathan Walker, from Trevor Sorbie, UK. Together, they created three interpretations of the trend: “Sophisticated”, “Cool” and “Pop” nature, the first two of which are above.
They call Sophisticated (above, top) the ultimate in Parisian chic, and the style is characterised by a bold Versace-like fringe softened by waves and wispy tones of cool blondes through the mid-lengths and ends. Cool (above, below) is a little edgier, with a cut the likes of Karlie Kloss and Alexa Chung messy bobs, with a highly textured fringe and soft wavy lines.
Whatever your pick it’s a winner in my humble opinion, and a great way to warm up your beauty look as we head to the summer months. I want one! The new INOA mocha shades launch into salons just in time too - October 2013.
