Travel beauty blog: London's Perfect 10 mobile beauty

When I arrived in London after almost a month in France I was tanned, relaxed and feeling pretty damn peachy, but lugging heavy suitcases - and a heavy shopping schedule - coupled with a plethora of unfamiliar pillows had left my back feeling not so great… and it needed sorting ASAP.

I was in an unfamiliar city with no car, and to be honest the idea of traipsing up and down escalators to and from the tube would probably cancel out the whole massage experience anyway!

Several days before arriving however I’d read about the Perfect 10 mobile beauty service in UK Vogue, and when I was given the chance to try it I jumped at the chance - a massage, without leaving our flat in Pimlico? Seriously up my alley!

Founded by Beauty Therapist - and generally very smart lady - Claire Aggarwal, Perfect 10 is a first class mobile beauty service at work in the London area that offers an array of head-to-toe treatments. Claire trains qualified and experienced beauty therapists herself in what has been called “the Perfect 10 way”, bringing the beauty parlour to your front room (or in my case, main bedroom). They offer everything from Sienna X Spray Tans to a full waxing menu, reportedly amazing facials (with no need to worry that you might bump into someone on the way home, sans fards), Essie Manis and Pedis and my own experience, the Deep Tissue option from the massage menu.

After arriving late at night in London and having a frantic morning with my son, the best thing ever was a ring on the doorbell at 11:30am from the wonderful Lauren (a fellow Kiwi, even better!). She arrived fully equipped with a comfy massage bed, scented oils and even soothing sounds, and one hour later it was if my cranky back had been replaced with a most definitely happy one. She concentrated on my back mostly, counteracting the travails that it had been victim to lately and leaving me walking on air. Four weeks’ worth of unfamiliar beds, heavy suitcases and multiple shopping bags - gone in less than an hour… miraculous!

If you live in London or are just passing through then I highly recommend a visit from this brilliant service for whatever your beauty need. The only problem? They won’t travel as far as New Zealand, damn it!
