Love it: Pureology’s Fresh Approach collection

A couple of weeks ago I spent an hour at Newmarket’s Dry & Tea - like I need any excuse! - snacking on small-but-perfectly-formed nibbles and experiencing a blow wave and style using Pureology’s newest collection.

Called a totally ‘fresh approach’ to cleansing colour-treated hair, the all new Fresh Approach range is Pureology’s first dry cleansing collection for - yep, you guessed it - coloured hair. Pureology are a brand that was created around the need for a kinder approach to coloured hair, and they never cease to amaze me with their innovations and beautiful new products. They also have one of the strongest sustainable business models that I have ever seen, so it’s no surprise that the emphasis for the new range is saving water, as well as time and your colour!

I have fallen in love with Fresh Approach Dry Shampoo, which is for all hair types and gently refreshes hair from root to end, providing a satin smooth finish and oil control throughout. I love the fact that it is low mattifying in particular - my darker locks can easily be dulled by the average dry shampoo formula but this keeps the shine without fail.

The other new release is the Fresh Approach Dry Conditioner, which is for dry, undisciplined hair as it restores softness and shine while managing frizz and static through the lengths in between washes. Dry conditioner is ideal for dried-out strands that are over-processed or over-styled, and this baby also adds shine and leaves hair soft to the touch.

Every time colour-treated hair comes in contact with water, colour-stripping “water abrasion” occurs. The 100 per cent vegan formulas in the Fresh Approach prods help reduce exposure to water abrasion – the number one cause of hair colour fade -  by 40 per cent when used twice a week in place of water cleansing. This extends the life of your hair colour by up to four weeks, so essnetially you’re saving water, time, your colour AND money! Love that…
