How to: Lorde’s killer Grammy’s look by MAC Senior Artist Amber Dreadon

M.A.C Senior Artist  - and all round seriously lovely, wildly talented woman - Amber Dreadon has been working with homegrown music phenomenon Lorde for a while now, and has helped define her signature makeup look that has been copied around the world.
Amber flew to Los Angeles last week to meet up with the singer and create more brilliance for her performance at the 56th Grammy Awards, where the Auckland teenager also won two gongs and a million of her peers’ hearts. Amber said the inspiration for her look on the night was “to keep the look fresh and radiant. Modern, a bit boyish and darkly cool with a lip focus”, and it was a joy to behold.
The key M.A.C products she used were a mix of Strobe Liquid and Prep + Prime Natural Radiance Pink for the perfect starting point, followed by Mineralize Moisture Foundation and Pearl Cream Colour Base. For eyes she used Groundwork Pro Longwear Paint Pot and - everyone’s favourite - Blacktrack Fluidline, then that famous Lorde lip was Heroine Lipstick mixed with Cyber Lipstick, atop a perfectly applied Vino Lip Pencil. Call it Modern Goth if you will, but I prefer just bloody gorgeous.
