All about: Benefit the POREfessional Agent Zero Shine

A few weeks ago I was invited to the launch of the newest beauty saviour from those very thoughtful types at Benefit, known as the POREfessional Agent Zero Shine.
It’s pretty much an extension on the popular POREfessional Primer formula in the form of a new loose shine control powder that keeps shiny skin at bay while blurring the appearance of pores. Sounds too good to be true? Well actually, it’s not!
In a nutshell, Agent Zero Shine mattifies skin and helps smooth the appearance of pores, and comes in a very clever shaker style jar (like seasoning for your face, if you will). Pop the lid to reveal a type of sifter that sports three larger holes, and then a small twist will open up the jar so you can shake powder into the lid for application. Last up, in the bottom of the barrel you’ll find a buffing brush that fits perfectly into the lid to buff powder onto the brush. Just a small amount of powder sprinkled into the lid allows for really quick touch ups on the go, and the packaging is genius if you like to travel with loose powder rather than pressed.
In practice it does an excellent job blurring the appearance of the pores where needed and just generally perfecting makeup, and gives a clean, almost airbrushed appearance that is pretty damn hard to achieve in more humid climes like ours. Combine it with the original POREfessional Primer and you will have a really nice solid base for your makeup, and if shine isn’t your friend then you most definitely need this in your arsenal for whenever the need arises. Genius.
