Love it: the M.A.C CC Colour Correction collection
It’s not often that you apply a base of some form - BB
cream, foundation, tinted moisturiser - only to have it look exactly the same
as the fresh application eight hours later. After submitting to the hands of
M.A.C trainer Olivia recently for a little one-on-one I left with skin looking
amazingly flawless - and remaining so over eight hours later when I reluctantly
scrubbed it off!
The occasion was the launch of M.A.C Prep+Prime CC Colour
Correct, an innovative new line of colour correcting creams and powders created
by the global beauty leaders to “enhance and perfect your skin tone”.
Prep+Prime CC Colour Correcting SPF 30 is a creamy, tinted
primer that evens skin tone in a multi-tasking formula. It’s available in four
shades and aren’t a traditional CC Cream, but do have some of the benefits of
one with a formula that evens skin tone, brightens, and protects with an SPF
30.
Olivia applied mine over a light wash of the brand’s
beautiful BB Cream, but you can actually use them all their own over a light
moisturiser. For example Adjust is a peachy beige that will work fine as a
lightweight tinted moisturiser of sorts to even skin tone, brighten, and
provide a makeup-less look that’s very, very flattering if you do not suffer
from major skin problems such as redness, blemishes, acne, and the like. Other
shades include Neutralize, which has a sheer yellow tint to combat redness, Illuminate
is a light shade of lavender that brightens and duller skin tones, whilst
Recharge has a strong orange-y apricot tone to add warmth to medium or darker
skin tones. Amazing stuff!
And luckily for us, you can counteract a few skin tone
issues at once thanks to the addition of Prep+Prime CC Colour Correcting powders,
which apply transparently, smoothing away the appearance of lines and
imperfections. Available in Prep+Prime CC Colour Correcting Loose and a handbag
friendly Prep+Prime CC Colour Correcting Compact, they are an absolute wonder
to use. I’ve been loving Illuminate dusted under my eyes to combat my hereditary
dark circles, it adds light and softens without needing any kind of hardcore
concealer.
All three options will be available instore on March 3 and
are RRP $54.00. Get in there!
