Beauty news: award-winning Hand Chemistry hits NZ

Just like my skincare, when it comes to hand cream I look for a formula with at least a modicum of grunt or really, what’s the point? Nice smelling is all well and good, but I want a cream that works for the privilege of being lathered on my hands!
So what if your most advanced skincare was your hand cream? It’s no longer simply a wonder with the arrival of Hand Chemistry on New Zealand shores.
The Hand Chemistry line has been sold by Boots in the UK since the end of 2013 — and within two weeks it was outselling every other hand and body product in the store. Today’s hand creams are far more sophisticated than their predecessors, and Hand Chemistry is thought to be at the top of the rung. These days, you’re as likely to find SPFs and active ingredients designed to counter wrinkles and age spots in your hand cream as your face cream, and while the company behind Hand Chemistry doesn’t advise using it on your face, it does admit its lotion was inspired by face creams.
“As hands can age more dramatically than the face, we had to include higher concentrations of a selection of the most effective anti-ageing technologies to be able to produce a very visible difference within just a few days,”says founder Brandon Truaxe says of the collection.  Higher concentrations of the most effective anti-ageing technologies, for a fraction of the price of a traditional anti-ageing cream? Where do I sign up?
The company has now released two of their bestselling body-care products in Caci Clinics nationwide, and results can be seen and felt in 14 days. The two up for grabs are:
Hand Chemistry Intense Youth Complex (RRP $39.99)
This award-winning hand cream boasts a 19.5% active complex designed to target the eight signs of hand ageing including firmness, elasticity, density, evenness, brightness, texture, smoothness and hydration. Hand Chemistry Intense Youth Complex is formulated with Biological GHK - a copper peptide that stimulates collagen production - and a biotechnological mushroom derivative proven to be 400 times more moisturising than Hyaluronic Acid. Sacha Inchi Oil and Maize Propanediol work together to form a protective moisture barrier, ensuring that the skin is able to hold on to this newfound moisture, with visible results in just ten days. Given that the hands are one of the first places to tell your age then this is most definitely a must if you’re shelling out on prods for your face.
Heel Chemistry Heel Hydration Complex (RRP $39.99)
This one is for your tootsies, and unlike traditional heel creams that focus on removing the hard skin, Heel Chemistry’s innovative formula is designed to hydrate the cracked skin topically whilst rebalancing below-surface hydration to avoid the traditional hard-skin cycle. The formula’s Antarctic Marine Complex is proven to significantly increase skin hydration by up to 90% in fourteen days, while Calendula provides an intensive healing effect for both immediate and long-lasting results. Containing no acids, urea or peeling, Heel Hydration Complex can be used daily to intensely restore dehydrated heels, hands, elbows and any other areas suffering from extreme dryness. I haven’t tried this one but it sounds like a marvel, especially in the lead up top tropical holidays and summer when sandal wearing is a given.

Hand Chemistry is available exclusively in New Zealand right now at Caci Clinics nationwide.
