Love it: Clinique's new Pop Lip Colour + Primer

As a brand, Clinique do bright, true and flattering colour VERY well. The Clinique Cheek Pop blushers were one of my hugest (and I mean huge) obsessions last year and quite possibly my favourite blushers ever. So perfectly pigmented and easy to use – a dream to be honest.

Next up in the Pop category for the company is Clinique’s Pop Lip Colour + Primer Lipstick, which is essentially a super rich colour lipstick and smoothing primer in one. The smoothing bit comes from the inclusion of Shea and Murumuru butters, whilst flexible polymers help to keep colour fresh and vibrant and on for an eternity. To say these are merely ‘longwear’ would be an understatement – and with zero compromise on moisture levels.

Now this gorgeous new range has 16 shades that are grouped into four different colour families, each little tube a lightweight formula that lasts for up to eight hours. It glides on effortlessly, creating a modern-velvet finish that keeps lips comfortable while colour stays true.
And it’s not just about colour. The texture and feel is so good. They are light but super nourishing, as well as – as per Clinique’s brief - allergy tested and 100 percent fragrance-free.
