Beauty news: Estée Lauder unveils a new scent, and a new muse
For fans – like me! – of Estée Lauder’s beautifully feminine
yet totally modern Modern Muse fragrance there has been some big news dropped by
the beauty giant. Not only have they unveiled a new fragrance “inspired by the
glamorous, more provocative side of a Modern Muse” called Modern Muse Le Rouge,
and a new muse to boot: Kendall Jenner.
The fragrance has been described as a “Fruity Floral
Oriental” scent, and “a sexy contrast of rich roses awakened by ripe fruits
with a velvet cream accord that captures the drama of this muse’s personality”.
The innovative “dual-impression” fragrance structure allows women to experience
the fragrance through two contrasting accords:
• Ripened Roses Accord: This facet of the fragrance captures
the undeniable boldness of the Le Rouge woman and the colour. Juicy fruitiness
of Bourgeon de Cassis and Raspberry, contrasted with vibrant Pink Pepper and
Saffron blends with the floral richness of Bulgarian Rose and the petally
freshness of Rose Centifolia.
• Velvet Cream Accord: Her sexy, provocative sense of style
and dramatic presence are expressed through an addictive blend of full-bodied
Madagascar Vanilla and the textural muskiness of Ambrette, refined with earthy,
seductive Vetiver and Patchouli – and freshened with the lush femininity of
Magnolia Flower and Jasmine.

about capturing a state of mind, a vibrant, dramatic attitude,” says Karyn

Estée Lauder Companies. “This woman inspires others through her unwavering
confidence, glamour and sophistication. She lives her life to be noticed – and
every ingredient in this scent was carefully selected to reflect that.”
Which brings us to the new muse – a woman who is most
definitely noticed everywhere she goes.
Kendall is the ultimate fashion and social media muse, and
she debuts in her first-ever fragrance campaign developed by Estée Lauder’s in-house Creative team, led by
Global Creative Director, Richard Ferretti in collaboration with
internationally renowned advertising and branding agency LLOYD&CO. The TV
commercial, directed by award-winning Music Video Director, Jonas Akerlund,
brings to life the power of Modern Muse Le Rouge as Kendall seamlessly alters
the world around her one step at a time. The print campaign, photographed by
Mikael Janssen, captures her undeniable glamour, power and magnetic persona.
Both the TV and the print campaign were shot in Los Angeles.
As well as an Eau de Parfum in three sizes, Modern Muse Le
Rouge is available as a Shimmering
Body Lotion that hydrates and replenishes moisture “leaving skin with a radiant
sheen and silky smooth fee”l. Richly scented with the Le Rouge fragrance, it
can be worn alone or as a complement to the Eau de Parfum.
Modern Muse Le Rouge will be available at Estée Lauder
counters nationwide and from www.smithandcaugheys.co.nz from August 10th 2015.Modern
