All about: what’s new and fresh from Linden Leaves

Linden Leaves are a bit of a legend when it comes to New Zealand beauty brands, real pioneers in their field and makers of some damn gorgeous products.
The Linden Leaves story began in 1995 with the founding of the company in the South Island by Brigit Blair. A well-travelled mother of three, who previously held entrepreneurial roles within the Asia-New Zealand market, Brigit established the Linden Leaves brand and launched immediately internationally to share with the rest of the world her passion for the quality ingredients, clever aromatic combinations and the vast array of natural botanical bounty that our wonderful little country offers.
Just over twenty years on, Linden Leaves produced many of their products by hand, and their super popular, unique body oils contain hand harvested natural botanicals. They says “we create our products with love and a sense of pride, without animal testing, and in accordance with our sustainability policy, and a sense of guardianship of our pure New Zealand environment.” Nice!
Which brings me to what’s new for the iconic brand, in the form of three new skincare products recently to their Natrue Certified line
The first is the Intensive Repair Eye Cream with Organic White Tea and Melon, which is apparently as gentle as it is effective. I haven’t popped the lid on my sample yet, but it’s basically a delicious-sounding “gentle formulation of powerful, natural ingredients for intensive repair and redefinition of the eye area”, and is enriched with certified organic white tea - high in antioxidants to help reduce the visible signs of ageing - and melon extract, a naturally rich source of skin loving vitamins, to promote healthy cell renewal. It also has aloe vera in there to hydrate and minimise irritation, and echium seed oil, which is new to me but apparently rich in essential fatty acids and omegas for youthful, healthy skin.
Next up is the Regenerating Night Cream with Organic White Tea and Goji Berry, in which you’ll also find echium, meadowfoam and sweet almond oils to deeply nourish and firm the skin and mulberry to brighten and revive the complexion. It’s suitable for all skin types which is a bonus, particularly mature or dry skin.
Last up is the Skin Refining Cream Cleanser with Organic White Tea and Jojoba (above), which I have been using and love. It is insanely soft and gentle to use, but also refines due to the inclusion of  natural exfoliant enzymes from papaya and pineapple, helping to prevent blocked pores and reveal radiance. I’ve been using it just in the mornings as a perfect wake up call, but it is reportedly also great at taking off makeup as part of a double cleanse routine.
So there you have it – these babies are available from stockists nationwide and www.lindenleaves.com from February 1st 2016
