All about: additions to the Elizabeth Arden Skin Illuminating collection
Elizabeth Arden
isn’t called one of the most enduring and innovative skincare brands out there
for nothing – their releases never cease to amaze me, not to mention their
always-wearable and on point makeup collections.
One of the
latest to cross my desk is the Skin Illuminating collection, which is an
advanced skincare range that addresses the various degrees of skin discolouration,
uneven texture and tone. Featuring the new Skin Illuminating Retexturizing Pads
and newly reformulated Skin Illuminating Brightening Day Serum and Skin
Illuminating Night Capsules, the dreadfully clever lineup is able to transform the
appearance of dark spots and uneven tone, while enhancing the skin’s ability to
reflect light. Oh - and it’s suitable for most skin types, which is a huge
bonus.
Biological and
environmental factors such as aging, hormones, inflammation and exposure to
pollution and UV rays can produce excess melanin, which is why so many of us
suffer from newly formed dark
spots and uneven skin tone. Simultaneously,
aging decreases collagen and elastin and increases pore size, leaving skin thin
and rough and reducing light reflectivity on the skin’s surface. As a result, skin loses its vibrant,
healthy-looking glow, which none of us want!
This is where
Elizabeth Arden made their entrance with the new collection, which takes a
scientific approach to target dark spots and discolourations as well as the
skin’s loss of radiance and luminosity, ensuring visibly brighter-looking skin.
A double whammy, if you will.
“To achieve the
most even-toned, radiant-looking skin possible, it’s important to not only
focus on dialing down the darkness,” says Art Pellegrino, Vice President of R&D
and Package Development for Elizabeth Arden. “It is crucial to also act on enhancing light reflectivity on
the surface of the skin, with products that help to promote a brighter, more
radiant complexion.”
