All about: Davines More Inside This Is A Dry Texturizer
It's nothing new to rave about dry shampoos and texturizing
sprays and the like – they are a fixture in pretty much every bathroom cabinet,
and with good reason. I’ve long been a heavy user of dry shampoo and hair dusts
and powders, mainly because I don’t like washing my own hair (First World
Problems, oui?) and also because I have a fringe that necessitates frequent
re-booting. I got to the gym six days a week and they are a godsend for a
greasy fringe, perhaps the perfect product.
One which has long held a special place in my heart is
Italian conscious haircare brand Davines’ first foray into the hair powder
arena, known as This Is A Texturizing Dust. It is part of their beautiful More
Inside range, which comes from the salon shelf gift-wrapped by hand – each and
every product. I love that! I also love the fact that it has a traceless, matte
finish, so can be safely used on darker locks with no risk of that telltale,
Marie Antoinette, talc-like look. Naturally as it’s Davines it is gleefully
paraben free and has no added colourings either, so super safe for use and the
planet.
Now Davines has added a new product for adding texture to
its More Inside range of 19 killer products, developed in conjunction
with Artistic Director, Angelo Seminara. Called This Is a Dry Texturizing
Spray, it is a lightweight, body-boosting spray that adds volume, control
and texture to the hair, without weighing it down. The results are suitably glamorous
hair that is bouncy and full of body, and it has a medium hold and can be
re-styled as desired. Impressive, huh?
Made from two active ingredient combinations, one which
creates texture without the use of resins, and the other which gives hair a
moisture boost, this unique formula – which is naturally paraben-free – leaves
hair well-defined without feeling stiff or weighed down.
What makes it different from the dust is its gentle approach
and moisture boosting qualities, making it one amazing product.
To use it, shake well and spray on dry hair from approximately
10 inches away. For more extreme volume, Davines recommend that you apply their
Volume Boosting Mousse on the hair, dry and then spray Dry Texturizer on both
roots and lengths, lifting and gently releasing hair to ensure an even
application. The end result is a big, Texas-style ‘do that just won’t quit. How
great is that?
This Is A Dry Texturizer is in store now at all Davines
stockists.
This is hands down my favourite Davines product of the moment. It's sexy, glamorous hair in a can.
