All about: Bobbi Brown Instant Full Coverage Concealer
I’ve been forgoing concealer of late, mainly due to the fact that most formulas settle most unattractively into the fine lines under my eyes, and I’m lucky enough (*touching wood*) not to be prone to blemishes. However, since having a decent play with it I can officially declare the new Bobbi Brown Instant Full Cover Concealer, $65, as my cover up of choice.
Designed to cover dark circles in literally one step, the concentrated, highly pigmented concealer visibly brightens stubborn under eye darkness and softens hollows and tired lines in an instant, and comes with an amazing 12-hour wear time.
Almost old school greasepaint-like in consistency, I was initially a little dubious how it would go on but go on it did… and like a charm. It is so lightweight that it feels like nothing on the skin, and doesn’t need any extras to make the semi-matte formula set. Those in the know at Bobbi Brown recommend that you always apply a hydrating eye cream before any concealer application, mainly to plump out any fine lines and give it a good, smooth base to grip to.
With this baby, a little definitely goes a long way for me. Using the tip of the doe foot applicator, I have been lightly dotting Instant Full Cover Concealer under my eyes and blending well, which is more than enough for a well-rested look. For the fullest, most opaque coverage, use the side of the doe foot applicator to swipe a generous amount under the eye forming an upside-down triangle, then blend with the applicator or your fingers. The initial tackiness of the formula does work in your favour as it prevents it from creasing and allows it to wear long and repel water or sweat, all of which get thumbs up from me.
This baby is in store now in a pretty wide range of shades, and I think you’ll easily find one to suit your skin type. Ask for a demo if you can for the full Bobbi Brown concealer low down – it comes highly recommended.
