Beauty news: Adam Levine tapped for YSL's Y US fragrance ambassador
Such a consummate rockstar that he even has a flawless supermodel wife (Behati Prinsloo) and globe trotting lifestyle (see his Instagram, which has 10 million plus followers), Adam Levine has just been named as the US fragrance ambassador for YSL Beauty’s stellar new men’s fragrance, Y.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Levine started his musical career while still attending Brentwood High School, eventually becoming the front man and primary songwriter for award-winning, chart-topping band Maroon 5. He is also a coach on the three-time Emmy Award winning NBC hit series, The Voice, and has appeared in Family Guy; 30 Rock and American Horror Story. Charismatic, endearing and enthusiastic, he’s also not afraid to make a style statement – even if that involves being mostly naked!
YSL Beauty has said that the brand is proud to welcome on board the supremely talented recording artist, actor, and presenter, calling him a “multifaceted modern man” and the embodiment of Y, the latest masculine fragrance launch by YSL.
“I’m psyched to be collaborating with YSL Beauty, a brand which has always appealed to me for its standout style and groundbreaking imagery,” says Levine. “As a musician, I relate to the raw passion and strong sense of individuality of YSL; and being a part of the story of Y is exciting to me - it is not the story of one man, but of a whole creative generation. I’m excited to develop our relationship and see where it will lead.”
“Adam Levine is the perfect fit for the brand and what our new fragrance Y represents,” says Alexandre Choueiri, President, International Designer Collections, L’Oréal USA. “A star of the music world, a familiar face on our screens, a true talent, he brings a new dimension to YSL Beauty.”
In other words: a match made in heaven. Congrats, Mr. Levine!
