NYFW hair how to: Moroccanoil X Oscar de la Renta Resort 2019
According to Vogue, back in January, Oscar de la Renta’s Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia received a call from Meghan Markle about a wedding day look for her mother Doria Ragland. “She knew she wanted a pistachio or melon look for her mom,” Garcia told the magazine, and just a few days after Ragland looked stunning in the label on her daughter’s big day, the pair presented a Resort collection at New York Fashion Week that featured similar pastel hues and white floral embroidery as the royal mother of the bride. The runway lineup was ladylike and pretty, and Moroccanoil Artistic Director Kevin Hughes created a perfectly effortless-looking hair look to match.
To re-create the careful study in simplicity at home, try the following:
1. On damp hair, use a dime size amount of Moroccanoil Treatment –or Moroccanoil Treatment Light for finer tones— from mid-length to the ends to provide the perfect foundation for styling.
2. Next, apply the Moroccanoil Root Boost to root area of the hair for control and body.
3. Apply Moroccanoil Thickening Lotion to the mid-lengths through ends for instant fullness and long-lasting body.
4. Then create a center part and blow dry the hair using the Moroccanoil Ceramic 55 MM Round Brush and Moroccanoil Professional Series Ceramic Hair Dryer until dry.
5. Separate hair into 1.5 inch sections, spray sections with Moroccanoil Perfect Defense to protect hair from heat styling.
6. Use a 1.5 inch flat iron to create subtle waves throughout the hair and seal the ends using Moroccanoil Mending Infusion.
7. Finish the look with a dusting Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Strong to keep the hair away from face.
