All about: Elizabeth Arden Retinol Ceramide Line Erasing Eye Cream

Some beauty insiders call them an afterthought, but I believe that a skincare regime isn’t complete without a great eye serum, gel or cream. The skin around the eyes is the thinnest you’ll find on your body as well as having fewer oil glands than the rest of the face, so needs extra special care when and where it can get it.
Most good eye creams and serums are formulated specifically for the skin around the eye, so tend to be a little richer and packed with active ingredients aimed at issues associated with that area. It is more fragile, more prone to dryness, and quicker to show age and fatigue. Squinting can hasten the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and fluids collect under the eyes and cause puffiness and dark circles.
A good eye-specific product can address at least some of these issues, but first make sure you are applying it for optimal effect. First, don’t overdo it. Follow instructions and go gentle - patting in with your ring finger is the best forms of application for this most fragile of areas, and allows your chosen product some time to sink in.
Which brings me to the newest formula that I’ve been lucky enough to have a play with, Elizabeth Arden’s new Retinol Ceramide Line Erasing Eye Cream. Arden is one of the oldest and most trusted beauty names in the world, and yet also regularly pull out all of the stops to make sure that they stay one step ahead of the pack when it comes to new discoveries.
The iconic New York beauty name started a revolution with ceramide capsules over thirty years ago, and now single-dose serums tailored to individual concerns have become synonymous with the brand. Now, from the creators of the award-winning retinol capsules, comes a multi-benefit eye cream formulated with clinically proven retinol and moisture-boosting ceramides – Retinol Ceramide Line Erasing Eye Cream.
An anti-aging blend of microencapsulated retinol, peptides and niacinamide, it works to smooth, brighten and de- puff with ease. The cream also features Smart Retinol Technology to deliver a formula strong enough for visible results that is also suited for the delicate eye area – pretty amazing. Their microencapsulated retinol absorbs five times deeper with 8-hour continuous release, and the airless pump delivery system dispenses the perfect amount of product and protects the formula potency. So zero wasted product, and it is as active as it needs to be to deliver real results. And as well as working on fine lines and the texture of the skin around the eye, the formula also addresses dark circles and puffiness, taking a full circle approach to brighter, fresher looking peepers.
The new eye cream is also ophthalmologist and dermatologist tested and suitable for all skin types, as well as non-drying and very nourishing. I love that the Elizabeth Arden R&D department never disappoints when it comes to creating new skin innovations that are just so unique but remain true to to their DNA, and Retinol Ceramide Line Erasing Eye Cream (15ml RRP $125.00 NZD) is no different.
The new Retinol Ceramide Line Erasing Eye Cream will be available from 9 August 2021 nationwide.
