The MECCA Beauty Election results are in, are your faves on the list?

With over 200 of the biggest and best brands in global beauty, it is pretty safe to say that MECCA is the go-to for the new, the now and the next in skincare, makeup, fragrance and more. When the MECCA Beauty Election opened on July 13 it aimed to identify exactly what beauty fanatics are coveting right now, with 10 categories and 60 nominees, and was destined to unveil a raft of new and essential must-tries.
Well voting has now officially closed for the much-loved customer-led campaign, and the iconic industry name has announced that they have crowned this year’s incredible winners: all hail the new beauty queens!

Dr Dennis Gross Spectralite Faceware

Over 24K+ beauty fanatics cast over 220,000+ unique votes for the products they are obsessing over right now, and the highest grossing categories with the largest number of votes were skincare, sitting at 41K, closely followed by makeup, which received over 26K nominations. No surprise there, and the fact that the truly incredible Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream received the most unique votes with over 11K nominations by 47 per cent of participating voters to win the Best Moisturisers category! It was closely followed by the Dr Dennis Gross Spectralite Faceware with 10K votes for Best Device, and the MECCA Glam Service with 8K votes in the Best Service category. After having my own MECCA Glam moment at the new Sylvia Park store just a few weeks ago I can attest that they are more than deserved of the title – I swear I learned more about makeup up in that single hour with Tatiana than I have in years!

Tatcha The Dewy Skin Cream

The most hotly contested category was the Best Hair, with the winner, Briogeo Don’t Despair Repair! Deep Conditioning Hair Mask beating the Aquis Rapid Dry Turban (which got my tick) by only 500 votes. Dr Dennis Gross and Tatcha were the only brands to win two categories each, which speaks volumes about their efficacy and formulations in the eyes of beauty freaks everywhere.
