Great hair nights: I explore the new collab between Dyson and QT Hotels

I am a shameless fan of a staycation, or in fact any chance to spend a night or more in a beautiful hotel. When I travel I almost relish the hotel experience just as much as I do the day’s activities, and am all about that running a bath, grabbing a drink and throwing on a robe kinda life!
I was lucky enough to recently spend a lazy Friday night at the QT Hotel in Auckland, which is a property I hadn’t stayed at before and absolutely loved. The vibe was eclectic and always-cool, but with just the right amount of attention to detail and great service that makes it a cut above many of the rest. The occasion was to explore the new collaboration between QT Hotels & Resorts – a hotel collection synonymous with design, decadence and disruption – and technology game-changer Dyson. QT endeavours to constantly elevate their already exceptional guest experience, and from now on they will also deliver design-led luxury blowing out bathroom boredom, by bringing a suite of signature Dyson products across all QTs.

The coveted Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryer can now be found in every QT guest room, as well as the cordless Dyson Corrale™ straightener also available across all suites and on request. For anyone with high maintenance hair like mine that’s ever checked into a great hotel and found a decidedly substandard hair tool in the bathroom cabinet, these guys have got you covered – promising great hair nights and days no matter how long your stay.

As an added bonus for those needing a helping hand, exclusive Dyson instructional styling videos are also now available in-room for all guests to be guided on how to create head-turning tresses, and check-out as if they’ve literally just stepped out of the salon. I’m a sucker for a how-to, and definitely spent more than a little time watching these and picking up all manner of tips and tricks. I love the fact that Dyson is as dedicated to ongoing education as they are to ongoing innovation, and these videos were an easy, informative watch.

In addition to these hair styling tools, Dyson purifiers will also be available on request to look after guests with specific allergens and integrated into QT’s designer spaces, which I also absolutely love. In an age where health is always top of mind, it makes for an awesome add-on when you’re selecting a place to stay.
So, with all that in mind – plus a fabulous night and day exploring my own backyard – I have to give major kudos to the new collaboration, and look forward to staying in one of QT’s many beautiful properties again soon.
