Beauty news: Jeuneora releases DoeEyes eye serum

Some beauty insiders call them an afterthought, but I believe that a skincare regime isn’t complete without a great eye cream. The skin around the eyes is the thinnest you’ll find on your body as well as having fewer oil glands than the rest of the face, so needs extra special care when and where it can get it.
Most good eye creams are formulated specifically for the skin around the eye, so tend to be a little richer and packed with active ingredients aimed at issues associated with that area. It is more fragile, more prone to dryness, and quicker to show age and fatigue. Squinting can hasten the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and fluids collect under the eyes and cause puffiness and dark circles. A good eye cream can address at least some of these issues, but first make sure you are applying it for optimal effect.
First, don’t overdo it. A pea-sized amount should be enough, dotted on your brow bone and about a half inch underneath your eye. If you pack on the product, it won't make it more effective. It will, however, creep into your eyes and irritate them. Patting in with your ring finger is the best forms of application for this most fragile of areas, and allows your cream some time to sink in. This is most important in the morning so your foundation or concealer doesn’t cake up from the extra emollient base in the eye cream.

Which brings me to the newest formula that I’ve been lucky enough to have a play with: Jeuneora's DoeEyes, just in from the always-innovative New Zealand-born beauty and wellness brand. A multitasking, revitalising eye Serum that brightens, smooths, hydrates and de-puffs, I’ve fallen hard for this little wonder for numerous reasons.
Containing a powerful blend of antioxidant-rich ingredients, the super serum aims to leave your skin feeling softer, plumper, more youthful and hydrated, with a cooling ceramic applicator to instantly soothe tired, puffy eyes that actually works beautifully with the formula. Lately I’ve tried a few eye products with inbuilt applicator that have been woefully inadequate when it comes to helping smooth the serum or cream on, but this one works a charm and feels so good in the morning!

A mixture of natural skincare ingredients and key active ingredients to support the health and appearance of your skin are key to the new release’s efficacy, in particular the likes of Golden Chamomile Extract, Peptides and Cucumber Seed Oil to address under eye puffiness, dark circles and fine lines. Ultra-hydrating Beetroot Extract and Hydrolysed Hyaluronic Acid are also in there working together to deeply moisturise your skin and visibly improve skin firmness.
Jeuneora founder, Monique Kaminski says an under-eye serum is the key to ultra-hydrated skin. “DoeEyes is especially good for dark circles, puffy and tired eyes, dehydrated and ageing skin, giving you that hydrated and well-rested look. We set out to create a super effective Eye Serum that delivers real results, while also protecting the delicate skin around the eyes. DoeEyes has been dermatologist and ophthalmologist tested and is suitable for all skin types - including sensitive. Our customers have been asking for this for a long time and we’re sure it will be a very welcome addition to our range.”
DoeEyes is designed to slot seamlessly into any routine – just gently squeeze a small amount onto the cooling ceramic applicator before applying directly onto the skin under the eye area. Use the cooling ceramic applicator or your ring finger to gently massage the product in. Doe Eyes can be used daily in the morning and/or at night, or even before applying makeup to ensure the eye area is super hydrated.
Last up, DoeEyes is vegan and cruelty-free, and its packaging contains 20 percent post-consumer recycled plastic and is recyclable through Jeuneora’s free-to-use TerraCycle Recycling Programme. Bonus!

DoeEyes is available now.
