2023 Met Gala beauty how-to: Camila Morrone by Cervando Maldonado
Model and actress, Camila Morrone, wowed on the red carpet at the 2023 Met Gala in Rodarte with a dream hair look to match created by Celebrity Hairstylist, Cervando Maldonado. The Daisy Jones and The Six star’s glowing skin was thanks to a facial with celebrity aesthetician Joanna Czech, plus the work of the YSL Beauty glam squad, who used the luxury brand’s Lash Clash Extreme Mascara (my ride or die formula after being introduced to it last year), Rouge Volupte Candy Glaze Lip Gloss Stick, All Hours luminous matte foundation and Nu Halo Tint Highlighter to create a truly glamorous red carpet look.
“The inspiration for me was a take on a 1960s Jane Birkin style. Her look was very Karl Lagerfeld-esque with her hair fresh, young, clean and really beautiful,” said Cervando Maldonado. “When styling, I started on damp hair using the Moroccanoil Perfect Defense to protect from all heat tools while also creating texture and beautiful shine.”
For step-by-step instructions on how to recreate the effortlessly luxe look by the celebrity hair stylist, follow the steps below:
