Celebrate International Lipstick Day - and give back - with Revlon and Chemist Warehouse

You may not know it had a name, but you’re likely familiar with the concept of “little treat” culture, as it’s come to be known on TikTok and elsewhere on the internet. It’s the act of indulging in small and inexpensive pleasures, either as a reward for doing a task or sometimes just because (I’m a huge fan of the latter, TBH).
That might mean buying yourself a coffee after the gym, or taking a walk to your neighbourhood bakery to grab a pastry after making headway on the work you’ve been putting off all day. It’s a small, affordable, everyday indulgence, and often based around the idea of self-care – something we could all do with a lot more of as it feels like the world is getting increasingly chaotic by the day.
One of my most often indulged little treats-meets-self-care moments is putting on lipstick each day, and with International Lipstick Day coming up this Monday, July 29th, I’ve found just the ticket if you’re looking to treat yourself, and give back at the same time.
International Lipstick Day - as I’m sure you’ve deduced – is about celebrating all things lipstick. A true beauty icon and the one makeup element I’ll never be without, lipstick for many is a shining beacon of the personality that they put forth to the world, whether that be a display of boldness or perhaps a softer show of face. We all have a favourite shade that never fails to make us feel our absolute best selves, but for some brands, the yearly celebration has become so much more than just about colour – and that includes Revlon.

Revlon Super Lustrous in Rumberry

For over a century, Revlon has been committed to empowering, encouraging and supporting women, and continuing to deliver on this promise, the global beauty giant has once again proudly joined forces with Chemist Warehouse for their joint International Lipstick Day initiative - this Monday, July 29th.
Revlon is the #1 lip brand in Aotearoa, and this International Lipstick Day with every purchase of Revlon Super Lustrous lipstick at Chemist Warehouse, $2 will be donated to Look Good Feel Better to help women, men and teens undergoing cancer treatment. The donation includes the purchase of the newest twelve new Super Lustrous shades, several of which can be seen here and are my personal immediate must-haves. Made with microfine pigments for the juiciest, pigment-rich colour and a lightweight feel, they come jam-packed with 80 percent conditioning ingredients so your lips will thank you for effortlessly gliding them on every day!

Revlon Super Lustrous in Electric Melon

With 72 shades in crème and pearl finishes available and an RRP of just $24.99 (i.e. less than the cost of a brunch and coffee), this is your sign to head to Chemist Warehouse this Monday and celebrate International Lipstick Day while giving back to others. As a cancer survivor I can’t emphasise the importance of the work that Look Good Feel Better does, and as a lipstick addict… there’s always room for a new shade in your collection ; )
