Attention all Nala fans: grab your FREE bra this Thursday

Aotearoa has some great intimates brands, but I’ve got to say, they leave a little to be desired when it comes to inclusion. Sure, they are improving all the time, but as a breast cancer survivor? Being sent to the maternity or teen bralette section for the only wire free option is just plain insulting. Thankfully some of my favourite international brands have been ahead of the pack when it comes to catering to all from the get-go, including the incredible Nala.
The fierce Australian intimates brand known for making you feel sexy, confident and totally empowered announced its arrival in Aotearoa late last year, and I couldn’t be happier. With a seriously amazing lineup of lingerie crafted to support a never before seen array of sizing - think A to J cups and XXS to 6XL - Nala embraces diversity and the beauty of every unique body. With a truly inclusive approach, as well as my favourite sexy wire free designs, Nala has a range of gender neutral products which have become loved by many. This includes a tuck brief and g string, as well as gender neutral crop.

Nala co-founder, Chloe de Winter says it was high time they bought their considerable offering across the ditch, “as we believe everyone deserves to feel wildly comfy and fiercely fashionable”. And Nala isn’t just breaking boundaries with their designs - they’re doing it sustainably too. “Our design team is constantly pushing the envelope with groundbreaking bio-based fabrics. Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do  from our products to our packaging, and we’re committed to giving back with every sale.”
Which leads me to the latest big news for Kiwi Nala fans – and the Nala-curious. This Thursday from 11am-2pm at Auckland’s Commercial Bay, wear your old bra to the Nala activation outside the CBD mall, hand it to the Nala team onsite and they will gift you a free Nala replacement – no strings attached. Your unwanted bra will be gifted to Project Uplift, a charitable organisation that recycles unwanted bras to women in need, and although the activation’s call to action mentions your “old daggy bra”, I recommend instead gifting one that perhaps hasn’t always been the best fit, but just might be for a woman in need.

So mark this Thursday in your diary – and here’s to great lingerie for all!
