Beauty news: introducing the new styling duo from cult haircare brand, TYPEBEA

Before I had even held a bottle of the elevated haircare brand’s shampoo in my hand, I had heard plenty about TYPEBEA. Like any smart new beauty name the hype began well before the release, and then come D-day – my feed was flooded with it!
When I finally got my grubby little mitts on some samples of the high-performing haircare system, I fell in love. Founded by Rita Ora and global beauty entrepreneur, Anna Lahey — the inimitable founder of Vida Glow, and now one of Ora's close friends - brand’s key goal is to “revolutionise the way people feel about their hair”, and TYPEBEA is designed with hair growth and hair health in mind. And that’s all types of hair no less, which makes it all the more impressive.
The two founders, who spent three years developing the four core products, have both experienced hair loss and hair damage, and their struggles became the driver when it came to formulating a range clinically proven to benefit hair growth. And yes both women are hugely well-known and respected in their fields, but you get the feeling this really is a range designed for all - as opposed to being “just another a celebrity beauty brand”. Powered by clean ingredients and scalp care actives, it offers a wonderfully sensorial and effective wash day routine for all hair types, and after those initial samples were all used up, I was officially a TYPEBEA stan.

Which brings me to the next chapter of TYPEBEA: a new simplified styling duo that yes, I was destined to fall hard for! The new products are an Ultimate Styling Serum and a Sea Salt Texture Mist – both combining performance driven actives with clean beauty innovation and with hair health always top of mind. S.1- Ultimate Styling Serum
Formulated to deliver visibly smoother, stronger hair, this beauty is a concentrated all-in-one serum that aims to tame the likes of frizz with zero stickiness. Also a heat protectant (love that!), it even speeds up dry time adding smoothness and shine, and thus far my hair is loving it. It feels insanely light but actually goes hard on the aforementioned protection, and the compact size due to the product’s concentration makes it great for travel.

S.2 - Sea Salt Texture Mist
At first play I wasn’t sure if this texture mist would do much for my hair, mainly as I’m used to stickier, tackier formulas that you can really feel after application. Instead, this aims to deliver what the brand calls “touchable texture”, adding waves while hydrating the hair without grittiness or crunch, and it has definitely grown on me – especially for air drying days. It’s all about shine, softness and perfectly undone hair done in seconds, delivering a cool, French girl vibe, especially when you tucked your hair behind your ears and add a slick of VioletteFR’s Bisou Balm to your lips – trés chic, n'est ce pas?

Like existing products from TYPEBEA, the Styling Range is certified free from parabens, sulphates, silicones, and colour disrupting ingredients, which as a coloured hair girl with a history of cancer, I am most definitely here for!
